CH Dakota Pines I August 13th 2011 Dakota has now earned the title of Prominent Dog @ the Aug 13th 2011 Dog Show in South Dakota. He also was chosen for the Top Dog Title from the Sporting Group. Congratulations to Sally and this handsome boy.

| Dakota finished his Championship with 198.5 pts of a possible 200 point total in the confirmation ring. Congrats Dakota-- We'll now have to refer to you as Champion Dakota Pines I. Dakota, Bogey and Lacy were all chosen for the Top Dog honors at the conclusion of the 3rd show. The honors went to a Kerry Blue Terrier. We feel very proud to have our three competing Springer's in the finals-- Maybe next year. | ||

July 10th 2010 Bogey has earned his Champion Title this past weekend in Staples, MN. He also has earned his 1st points for his next level of competition in the confirmation ring. Bogey also was chosen as a contender for TOP DOG at the end of 2 shows with the highest scoring points in his class, Bogey is one of MN Whispering Pines pups Sired by our own CH Dakota Pines I and Shelby Rae III. Lacy also qualified for her 1st set of points in the puppy class with a score of 197 out of 200 earning her the Prominent Dog title. She was high scoring puppy in her show and was also in the running for the Top Dog. Lacy comes to us from Canada with a very impressive pedigree. Erin expects great things out of this gorgeous girl and I'm sure she will continue to work on getting her championed. NICE JOB ERIN & LACY! |

2010 Dog Show in Staples, MN
This is Jazz competing at 4 months old in her 1st show. Staples, MN July 10th 2010
Jazz was shown in the Junior Puppy Cass. She is not old enough to earn points (must be 6 months old) but did an outstanding job in the ring. The judges were very impressed with her. I was so proud of this little girl! She was so confident and sure of herself the second we walked in the door. Not intimidated at all by all the other dogs, people & noise. Both judges have scored her superior in all areas. What a great start Jazz has made. She is a natural!

What is Phosphofructokinase Deficiency (PFK) ?
PFK deficiency is an inherited autosomal recessive disorder which prevents the metabolism of glucose into energy and destroys red blood cells. This inherited disease is characterized by signs of discolored or darker urine, muscle weakness and cramps, anemia, and exercise intolerance. The DNA testing for PFK is available to breeders and owners of English Springer Spaniels and Cocker Spaniels worldwide. Owners are provided with a detailed DNA report showing the canine's ID information and genotype for PFK. Results will be one of three: Clear, Carrier, or Affected.
